  • New Position Accepted: I have accepted a job offer for an Assistant Professor position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Iowa State University (ISU). The position will start in August 2015. Motivated prospective students are encouraged to apply for two fully funded PhD positions in Dr. Chao Hu’s research group at ISU (May 2015).
  • Paper Accepted: Journal paper (joint work with Gaurav Jain, Craig Schmidt, Carrie Strief, and Melani Sullivan from Medtronic, Inc.) titled “Online Estimation of Lithium-Ion Battery Capacity Using Sparse Bayesian Learning” has been  accepted for publication by Journal of Power Sources [IF: 5.257] (Apr. 2015).
  • Highly Cited Research Paper Award: Research paper (joint work with Byeng D. Youn from Seoul National University and Jaesik Chung from PCTEST Engineering Lab) titled “A Multiscale Framework with Extended Kalman Filter for Lithium-Ion Battery SOC and Capacity Estimation”  has been awarded the Highly Cited Research Paper 2012-2013 by Applied Energy [IF: 5.597] (Mar. 2015).
