Howe, Sukup, and Elings Halls are interconnected buildings. These buildings are home to several research labs and institutes, including Biorenewables Research Laboratory and Virtual Reality and Applications Center (VRAC). Howe Hall is also the primary location for the Aerospace Department.
The Marston Water Tower is a signature landmark at Iowa State University.
Just north of Black Engineering is Hoover Hall. Hoover includes several large auditoriums and teaching labs. It connects to Howe Hall through a glass sky walk.
Marston is the home of the College of Engineering administrative offices. Marston has several study spaces.
Black Engineering Building is the main building for the Mechanical Engineering Department. The administrative offices can be found on the 2nd floor. A small courtyard offers several picnic tables to enjoy.
Lab of Mechanics houses several graduate student office spaces. It also has several computational faculty research labs.
